AKA Bigg Sixx and I was once a drummer in my Washington DC GOGO band. 20 years ago at the age of 18 I was shot and left paralyzed from the chest down which ended my position as a musician.
After putting music to the side for some years in order to figure out how to navigate life as a man in a wheelchair, I decided to pick up music again. I was introduced to the Akai MPC and found it to be a good tool to create music with. The only problem I have with the Akai MPC was the lack of usable sounds.
I have used every MPC program creator and I own every MPC model there is, multiple copies, including the limited MPC 2500. Only 500 of these exist and I have #426/500. I also own a nice collection of my favorite hardware synthesizers that I use alongside the MPC. With Akai's new generation of standalone MPCs I'm able to share some of the presets I have created over the years. The Akai Z8 is the main sampler used to capture and mix quality keygroups to be used in the MPC X, Live, One, Touch and even Akai Force.
